Our bespoke curtains are all made by our team of curtain makers, many of whom having been making curtains for up to 30 years. The curtains are beautifully hand finished to give a professional, elegant and personal addition to your windows. After all, these are often the most important and eye catching statement in the room. There are several reasons why bespoke curtains are the most popular when it comes to choosing. Firstly, the range of fabrics is vast and far outweighs that of factory made. Then, the choice of linings and interlinings are more varied as well as the style of heading you would like - we can show you all of these in the shop and will be able to determine the most suitable for your choice of fabric, your room, your window and your personal taste.
This is usually the most economic way of completing your home project but it is more limited in range and fabric design and the products are machine made not hand finished. We supply curtains and blinds from Belfields, Style, Ena Shaw and ILIV. The factory-made product is often a good solution for rental premises, new builds, first time buyers and generally those who want something special but are watching their pennies!

Hand pinch-pleat curtains are a classic yet versatile window treatment and are an attractive and elegant window dressing option for a range of windows. Hand pinch-pleat curtains are gathered into two or three pleats and hand-stitched into place. This gives a very neat and tailored finish that helps the curtain
Traditional hand pencil-pleat curtains never go out of style and are a popular choice for many customers. They are simple, affordable and flexible for use in most rooms. The name comes from the shape of pencils. The pleats are created by fastening curtain tape to the back of the fabric with the tensioning of the cords creating the fullness of the pleating.
Hand stitched goblet-pleat curtains offer an elegant alternative to a traditional pinch-pleat or pencilpleat heading. The pleats are similar to pinch pleats but resemble the shape of goblets. This finish works well with traditional heavier fabrics and particularly where floor length curtains are the chosen option.
Wave is a unique curtain heading system using a specialised track. It is an increasingly popular option for those who want a more contemporary interior. The smooth flowing characteristics of this product works well with voiles and similar light flowing fabrics, although we have made some beautiful interlined wave curtains which are equally as stunning.
Modern and stylish, designer eyelet curtains work well with most fabrics and colours but look particularly good with bold, contemporary designs. They are a great solution if wall space either side of the window is limited because of the way the curtain folds back on itself and also, less fabric is required. These eyelet curtains are fitted with robust yet attractive eyelets in a range of finishes including stainless steel, pewter, black, gold and chrome. These are fitted by ourselves to our usual high standards and work particularly well with metal poles.
We supply several beautiful ranges of poles which are on display in the shops and an array of different tracks to suit every need. Tracks and poles can be a minefield but our staff are highly knowledgable and are there to help. Buying these from DIY shops or on the internet is not always the best idea and can often end up badly if the wrong product is used for the wrong job. We are happy to lend out samples so you can get an idea of what they may look like in your home and with your choice of fabric.
